The most important dimension of conversation using style of speaking are FUNCTION SPEAKING, TALK AS INTERACTION, TALK AS TRANSACTION, TALK AS PERFORMANCE.FIRST  Functions of Speaking numerous attempts have been made to classify the functions of speaking in human interaction, it servers to establish and maintain social relations.  SECOND talk as interaction
it refers to what we normally mean   by “conversation” and describes interaction which serves a primarily social function, example when the people meet, hey exchange greetings, engage in small talk and chit chat recount recent experiences and so on because they wish to be friendly and to establish a confortable zone of interaction which others. some of the skills involved in using talk as interaction
involve knowing how to do the following things: Opening and closing conversation, choosing topics, Making small talk, Joking, Recounting personal incidents and experiences, Turn taking, Using adjacency pairs, Interrupting, Reacting to others, Using an appropriate style of speaking. THIRD  Talk as transaction this type of talk refers to situation where the focus is on what is said or done,
example: Classroom group discussions and problem solving activities, A class activity during which students design a poster, Making a telephone call to obtain flight information, Ordering food from a menu in a restaurant. FOURT Talk as performance this refers to public talk , that is talk which transmits information before an audience  such as morning talks, public announcement, and speeches

 example: Giving a class report about a school trip, Conducting a class debate, Giving a speech of welcome, Making a sales presentation, Giving a lecture. Finally this information helps to learn about styles of speaking and different techniques to apply in classroom.
